H.I.S. Fire & Safety is currently looking for experienced offshore service technicians to perform firefighting, lifesaving, fire detection, gas detection, and aids to navigation inspections.

This is a full-time position based out of New Iberia, LA. It is an hourly pay rate based on skills and experience.
 

• Required

  • Experience working as a fire and gas technician

  • Experience with electrical

  • Must be 21

  • Driver’s license required

  • Clean driving record and be insurable to drive company vehicles

  • Able to pass a physical with DISA alcohol and drug screening

• Duties

  • Perform firefighting, lifesaving, fire, gas, and aids to navigation inspections

  • Document required deficiencies and items required for repair

  • Complete all required paperwork and submit in a timely manner

  • Manage customer expectations to maintain excellent customer relations

  • Lift and or move up to 60lbs

  • Travel to customer sites

• Qualifications

  • Have a state fire marshal license for fire extinguishers

  • Have or obtain a TWIC card and other required safety certificates

• Work Environment

  • Indoor and outdoor

  • Exposure to hot, cold, wet, and humid weather conditions
